Deep Space Astro Photography

Well recently started looking into deep space astro photography and the challenges to take and process these types of image. Needless to say, out, bought a load of gear to help and them started to take some images.

It’s difficult shooting images you cant really see in any great detail, however here are my first 2 attempts:

Using a Sky Watcher EQ6-R Pro mount, Sony A7Rii, 70-300 mm lens. 5 x 1 minute exposures, plus 5 x 2 minute exposures, plus 10 x 3 minute exposures, all stacked, then processed in Lightroom. 45 minutes total exposure.
The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters and Messier 45, are an open star cluster containing middle-aged, hot B-type stars located in the constellation of Taurus. It is among the nearest star clusters to Earth and is the cluster most obvious to the naked eye in the night sky.
Distance from Earth, 444.2 light years.

The Andromeda Galaxy, also known as Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224, is a spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years from Earth, and the nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way. 10 darks, 70 x 90 second exposures @ iso 800 stacked in DSS, with the resulting 1 hour 45 minute total exposure. Still learning but getting there.
