Aviemore Camping Trip

Last weekend was our first camping weekend of 2017. We were fortunate enough to have a long weekend in Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. This is a stunning location with lots of opportunities for photographers.

The image of the Chaffinch above was captured while visiting Loch Garten RSPB reserve. We tend to visit any RSPB reserves when we travel.

This sneaky little fellow was stealing the bird seads and running into his hole at the base of the tree.

A view of the Cairngorm mountains from the shores of Loch Morlich

Another from the road up to the mountains Ski resort.

The ancient caledonian forests are plentiful as well as the peat lochans – abundant with wildlife.

A different location – just North of Fort Augustus – looking north from the Suidhe Viewpoint (I cycles over this the week before – It was a difficult climb).

The final image is a B&W looking down Loch Ness. I dont often do B7W, but felt this image justified it.

All images shot using my Sony A7rii, with either 24-70 or a 70-300 lens and processed in Lightroom. Hope you enjoy.
